This was approved by the pastor of the church --the church that we are selling this window for.   Beautiful 1800"s  Angel Stained Glass Arched Window Theme: " Blessed are the Pure in Heart " Measurements: - 65" x 78" in wood frame Opening Bid: $9,900 ( appraisal is much higher )   This beautiful stained glass window came from a Macedonian Bulgarian Orthodox Church -- their main church window ( above the door ).   It is made in the Faberge style during the peek time of the Faberge studio. There are many exquisite details -- in the glass types, color of glass, shapes, leading detail, valuing of the human form , and symbols involved in the composition. The angel is a messenger....artistically developed as in the old Italian masters' works ...Giotto, Lipi, Leonardo Da Vinci etc... There is written documentation for value and history by Whitney Stained Glass Studio, inc. from Cleveland, Ohio. A copy of the documentation will be awarded to the item winner. History:  This arched angel window dates from the late nineteenth century, around the late 1890's. It is made using American Opalescent glass...and Drapery glass ( description: dimensional relief glass -- like the folds of material ).There is no studio signature on the window.  The window is in good condition.  I do have a letter of proposal from Azure stained glass studio in Cleveland for the repair of this window ( estimate approx. $1515. There are several broken pieces of glass, a subtle sag in the bottom of the glass -but it does not compromise the leading.  This is in quite excellent shape considering it's age estimated to be around the late 1890's.
