Very clear and would look gorgeous as a center plate on a charger or large dinner plate. Nice WHITE Christmas look. The initials are so scrolly....if thats a word, that you really cannot make out what it is without studying it. They are 8 1/2" in diameter and make a wonder BIG dessert dish for Thanksgiving or a well addressed lady's luncheon plate.
