It has the patent date of May 7,1901 and was patented by A.R.Brown of Ervin,Tenn. There are 8 sized drawers ranging from 2 1/2 x 4-the small ones at each side of the top, to 8 1/2" x 12", the largest which are at the bottom.There are 130 total drawers and the entire cabinet is made of Oak. The top of the cabinet measures 25 x 25 x 48 and revolves in either direction.The base measures 30 x 30 x 22 and is stable.The entire piece sits atop heavy duty casters and is fairly easy to move around a smooth surface. There are 5 fronts that are closed.I have not pulled the front off of them but it looks like the drawer to these 5 must have become missing and someone cut some thin oak and closed the hole for looks.Done sometime ago I would say.Replacable drawers would be easy for the carpenter. This is easily manageable but still quite heavy.Therefore unless the buyer has a shipper come and get it this is a Pick Up Only Ebay Item!. I live in North Alabama, 5 minutes from Huntsville,Al. I can take it to a shipper for the buyer, after it is paid for, and the buyer and shipper finish the details by phone or email. I have cleaned the drawers and the case just slightly but as you can see a nice finish would make this piece really sharp.I have put a light walnut stain on this Hardware Store piece and will have a picture added on. I did not want to even try to put a finish to it because that is the preference of the owner but it did make it look even better.Please email questions and Good Luck!
