Description
ANTIQUE 1800s CUT GLASS VINEGAR CRUET DECANTER Wonderful old cut glass cruet from a Maryland estate Believed to be circa 1850's or before Cruet pretty cone shape with 6-panelled neck and arched spout 3-1/2" diameter base with starburst pattern 7" tall to lip, 8-3/4" tall to top of stopper applied handle has 2 rows of cut thumbprints and a flattened top, deep cuts with zipper detail front and back 12-point stars surrounded by large swirled starbursts on each side the neck is clouded, there are multiple tiny chips on the edges of the cuts at the point where the top of the handle joins the cruet, there is a fracture and a large chip out of the back of the rim Stopper appears to be original 3-1/4" tall clear tapered end - engraved with "23" multiple tiny chips to the bottom edge diamond cut top (several of the prominent middle cut points are chipped Appraised at $300 by Connie Sue Anderson, White House TN This piece is beautiful and sparkling.
