Click to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to EnlargeClick to Enlarge Description Offered FRESH to the market from the barn of an elderly apple farmer in Northeast Ohio is this wonderful primitive apple butter kettle, the second of two that we purchased recently. This dovetailed kettle, with forged iron top ring and bail handle has the copper rolled (hammered) over the top. It is an impressive piece of American craftsmanship. These type of kettles have been used for hundreds of years to make the best apple butter in the world, using only the finest Ohio apples. This one can be dated to about 1885 according to the farmer's family lore. This fine antique measures approximately 22" across at the rivets. It stands 15.5" high, and holds approximately 20 gallons of liquid. It is water tight, and held water to the brim overnight with NO LEAKS. You will not find a nicer apple butter kettle on ebay. Add this fine primitive to your collection today! In regards to shipping, pickup would be great. If you do pick it up, I will throw in the apple butter stirrer, which has a very long handle for stirring. If it is shipped, the stirrer is too long for shipment. I will figure shipping at the end of the auction, as eBay's shipping calculator is most often incorrect. Payment and Shipping Terms: Please see the pictures and e-mail us with specific questions. Winning bidder pays any shipping costs. Ohio residents add 6.5% sales tax to the sale price. Paypal, money orders, and cashier's checks ship quickly. Personal checks will be held seven days to clear. Check & money orders made payable to Nancy DiGeroloma, 1047 W. Liberty Street, Medina, OH 44256 330-725-6927. PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 10 DAYS OF NOTIFICATION. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. We make every effort to fully describe our items, and any flaws or damage they may have. Refund of the purchase price, less shipping charges, will be made on items that are not as described, if seller is notified within three (3) days of receipt. Questions should be asked BEFORE you bid, via e-mail. Payment must be received within 10 days from end of auction, or seller reserves the right to re-list the item. Seller also reserves the right to refuse to deal with bidders with excessive negative or hidden feedback, THANKS!!!!!!!! Most shipments will be made via USPS priority mail; if you have other preferences, please let me know. Just one of inkFrog's Creations
