Purchased in the applachian area of I 81 corridor.  It has the Pennsylvania Dutch style of decoration and is stuffed with horse hair and has a wooden base that is heavy believe Cherry wood with brass brads.  Very nice old piece.  This one is a large door stop meant to probably hold the front door open, it measures  7 inches across x  4-1/4 x  3-1/2 inches high.  it might have also beeen used as a paperweight to hold down a stack of papers.This is a heavy piece weighs approx  2.5 pounds.    Nice old piece!!!  Be sure to see all my other Estate pieces.
