Offered for your consideration is a fabulous 18th Century Georgian Chippendale Slantfront Desk.  This is a beautiful period piece of furniture - gorgeous flame and figured Mahogany throughout.  Replaced(but period) brasses.  We believe the desk to be English.  Very generously sized at 47" Inches wide.  The desk stands 40 1/2" Inches tall.  It is 21 1/2" Inches deep.  With the slantfront down in the writing position it is 34 1/2" Inches deep.  The work surface/writing area is 29 1/2" Inches from the ground.  The interior fitted gallery is 10 1/2" Inches tall.  The fitted gallery interior has two vertical letter/document boxes - with inlay.  Many other smaller drawers.  There is also an interior cupboard door - when opened it conceals one smaller pullout drawer - with a hiding place in the back for documents/drawer.  The main lower portion of the desk has two upper smaller drawers and three long graduated drawers underneath.  Overall condition is very good.  Please do keep in mind that this piece is not perfect - this magnificent desk is well over 200 years old.  The two bracket feet have been reinforced/strenghtened from the underside over the years.  They remain sturdy.  Buyer to pay $550.00 flat rate shipping. Please allow 4-5 weeks for shipping from date of payment.  andale andalesell Payment Options:   Money Order/Cashiers Checks ,PayPal ,Personal Check Shipping Options:   Fixed Shipping Charges.
