This is a set of SIX incredibly RARE PIE FORKS by Schulz & Fischer of San Francisco in the GEM pattern. These are huge 7.5 inch long forks. The set of six weigh 8.8 ounces on my postal scale. There is a "Fannie" monogram on the front of the handle. The condition is OUTSTANDING. All pattern details are crisp. There are no knife marks on the back of the tines. These were lovingly stored and possibly never used. The tips of the tines are sharp. There are some normal light scratches. Marked J.W. Tucker & Co. According to Silver in the Golden State, this jewelry retailer was active in San Francisco from 1850- c1885. Schulz & Fischer was producing this pattern between 1867- 1890. No marks to indicate silver content, as is so common on S&F flatware. They are coin or sterling. Please email me with any questions.
