63 antique victorian black glass mourning buttons Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 21.59 Time Left - Bid Count 5 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, November 19, 2008 End Time Wednesday, November 26, 2008 Location Central Pennsylvania See more about '63 antique victorian black glass mourning buttons' Description Hi!  Thanks for shopping.   i really enjoy buttons, so i tend to take alot of pictures of them when i sell them.  there are several pictures of these WONDERFUL old victorian black glass mourning & other buttons. there are 63 buttons in this lot, many with metal loop shanks, many with self shanks, at least 1 that is sew through and one of the fabric looking buttons has a 4 way metal box shank.  the buttons range in size from 1/4" - 1 1/16".  for the most part these are in very good condition.  there may be a few tiny (and i mean tiny) knicks here and there and some surface scratching on a few.  there is nothing blatantly wrong with any of them, though, and i think you will really like them.  there is one that is to look like a crocheted/fabric button and it has a flower on it and it is a REALLY FINE button.  there's a rectangular one that has a cupid/cherub type figure on it.  there's a horseshoe, anchor, a group of cherries, several with flowers, an incised one with a bird, there's one that is pierced - it's really neat.  there are a few that have some luster on them.  there is one with some kind of ivory colored leaves ? on it.   i don't know what the leaves are made of.  many of these buttons came directly off of collector's cards. this is truly a very nice lot of beautiful antique black glass buttons. i never start anything for more than $9.99 and there's never a reserve.  the low starting bid is not a reflection of the value of these buttons. each button wrapped in tissue paper, put in box & mailed in bubble envelope.
