Sanborns Mexico Sterling Silver Tea Set' Description Up for auction is a lovely set from Sanborns of Mexico Sterling Tea Set.  The mark is the same on all pieces...it looks like a bell shape with the numbers 22 inside.  The patterns name is not known to me but it does consist primarily of a rose motif.  Design is quite ornate and pleasing to the eye!!  Below is a list of each piece and condition.  I have initally polished the set with Maas and it cleaned up pretty well but a good professional buffing in some areas would be desirable.  All hinges are intact.  Please forgive me if a call a coffee pot a tea pot, etc.  I would welcome any information or comments you Mexican silver experts may wish to share. Pot which tilts easily on stand with ring for a heating element under pot.  No dents or dings.  Several small black (pin head size or smaller) spots on lid and top of the piece.  Inside needs to be buffed as the bottom is black and around inside top edges.  Measures appx. 12" from tip of spout to outside handle and appx. 13" from bottom of stand to top of finial.  Lid fits nicely. Coffee pot has only one tiny dent and only 2-3 very faint, tiny dark spots on top.  Inside bottom is black, as well as around design work on the inside, which is to be expected.  This is true on most of the pieces.  Appx. 10 1/2" from spout to handle and appx. 9  1/2" high. Tea Pot shows not dings, dents or dark spots on outside.  Inside is as described above.  Appx. outside measurements 11 7/8" and appx. 9" top to bottom. Lidded sugar has one Pin head size dark spot (wont' take much to buff it out).  Also has one very small dent and another so small you can hardly detect it.  Inside bottom is NOT black and is much  cleaner than the above items.  Appx. 7" handle to handle and 6" top to bottom. Creamer shows a tiny small scratch or slight dent and a couple of very small dark spots.  There is some darkness to inside bottom.  Appx 5 3/4" across and 5 1/2" high. Waste bowl is in great condition with no dents.  Measures 4 3/4" inches in diameter and appx. 3 3/8" high. Tray needs to be professionally buffed.  There are pits and scratches.  None of pits are large and I have tried to show you a picture of the surface but it is  hard taking a picture of a shiny surface.   Measures appx. 29 3/4" long including handles and 18 3/4" wide. I've tried to make this a detailed description but please feel free to ask more questions and I would be happy to double check the items.  All in all, it is in very good plus or even excellent condition not disregarding the comments.  But I want you to have as accurate a description as I am qualified to state.
