There are  no stains, no holes or tears, and all the edges are original. The rug is very  clean and with normal care this rug will last another 50 years. The wool is very soft and the colors are absolutely gorgeous. A great rug for a dinning Room, family room, or a Library. The western trade designation 'LAVAR' is an incorrect form of the name RAVAR, the weaving center situated in the southeast of PersiaRAVAR (LAVAR) has long been the origin of some of the finest Persian rugs.
