Depicted are the  Dutch ( Fort Orange ) and English Forts of the seventeenth century.  Drawn and engraved by Pierre - Quentin Chedel  for Prévost d' Exile's ' Histoire. des Voyages', published between 1738-75.  On hand laid paper with original centrefold and save for light age toning in  fine condition.  Measuring approx. 11.5" x  8" ( 290mm x 200mm )to the clear platemark with margins beyond, a crisp impression which would frame well.
