H. Robsjohn-Gibbings much preferred the visual vocabulary of the classical world, particularly ancient Greek furniture and design. Robsjohn-Gibbings' look was widely emulated, and from 1943-56 he worked as a designer for the Widdicomb furniture company in Grand Rapids, Michigan .The  matching sideboard was sold last week.  Size H. 56. x L .39  x D.18.1/2, good antique condition , some hard to see  touch up ( with matching color) on the top veneer which can be seen at certain angle ,I signal it for the buyer who want their antiques beyond pristine  , the metal holder of the handle could be rechromed  because they show some oxidation. Silver  Widdicomb label with a serial number underneath .Recently refinished  sipping $200  to $ 400 depending on location. I take credit card and American Express, the transaction will go thought my store .I guaranty my Antiques to be original.
