It has very ornate looking lion heads on the arms and claw feet for the legs. I believe the wood to be mahogany. Overall conditon looks good. Normal wear. Still a solid piece. However. The seat does need repadding... The fabric looks fine, but could use retacked in a few places. This is a great collectors piece. I have seen several lion head settes, just never run across a lion head settle. So enjoy.
