Description
Auction Wizard 2000 Listing Template - AW2KLOT#:4601 ANTIQUE OVAL PICTURE FRAME WITH BABY PICTURE This is a beautiful old gesso frame I purchased at an estate auction. It is a classic oval frame made of wood with a gesso, hand painted wood grain finish. This sort of thing was popular from the late 1880's through the early 1910's. It features warm, rich browns around the frame. The picture inside has been professionally matted in modern times. It looks fantastic. It would display quite well and could be an "instant ancestor". Or you could always replace it with you own picture. This frame has a litte wear and a couple of cracks in the gesso that attest to its age. This is pretty typical of these vintage frames. Overall dimensions are about 24 1/2 inches long and 18 1/4 inches wide. Viewable area is a 12 3/4 inches by 18 3/4 inches. The convex "bubble glass" is in great shape. Overall, this is a lovely antique frame. It is a great vintage decorateor piece. An excellent addition to any collection. Don't miss out. Bid now! Please check out my other listings for great deals on similar items, antiques, and collectibles. Visit my eBay store "Vintage and Variations" using links above or below to shop by category and custom search all my great stuff. Combine more than one winning bid or purchase to save on shipping! TIP: Don't Get Outbid At The Last Moment or Miss Your Opportunity to Bid: A lot of bidders are disappointed at losing in the last second. They've been "sniped" by other bidders. You can prevent this by entering your Maximum Bid (highest amount you're willing to pay) when you place your bid. Then, if someone places a higher bid, yours rises just enough to cover theirs (up to your maximum). This gets you the best possible price, and reduces the odds of being sniped. It also prevents you from forgetting to bid at the last moment. I get emails all the time saying "I got distracted and did not get to bid. Do you have any more??" I almost never do! The Fine Print. Please read! All payments, including e-checks must clear before shipment. I normally ship at three times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shipping outside United States is higher, so ask about the difference. Buyers outside the US must pay by PayPal in US funds. I always ship by USPS. Combining shipping on items to save money is almost always possible, but some very heavy, oddly shaped or bulky items or items of different mail classes cannot be combined. Insurance is available for $1.70 per each $50 of purchase price. Insurance is provided by U-Pic. If an insurance claim for damage is necessary, you must retain the shipping box and all packing materials. Photographs will be required.
