Made of the finest Japanese porcelain. Lined in gold. Bowls are well over 100 years old. Satsuma ware is something between porcelain and pottery. It is produced at lower temperatures than porcelain. Satsuma ware originates from the seventeenth century.The characteristics of Satsuma ware are rich decorations with gold and polychrome colors on a soft, beige-colored, crackled glaze. Each bowl measures 13" in diameter, 8" tall, and come with a 3" tall stand. These pieces would be a very VALUABLE addition to any serious collection!
