I BELIVE THAT IT IS FROM THE 1930s.  THERE IS ALSO A NUMBER 14455019  ON THE SWING MACHINE AS THE BELOW PICTURE SHOW   I HAVE NOT REPLACED ANY OF THE PARTS INCLUDING THE LEATHER BAND SINCE I BOUGHT IT ABOUT 28 YEARS AGO AT AN ATIQUE SHOP IN CALIFORNIA.   I PAID QUITE OF MONEY FOR THIS SWEING MACHINE BACK THEN.   Had my vintage/antique furntiture for over 20 years.   All bought at antique shops in California years ago. I do not know anything about the type of wood or history.  I am not an exper on antiques.  I bought the items because I liked them, and not for investment.  I have no use for any of these items any more.  The furniture has been in a storege for almot a year and need a good cleaning and polish.
