WE KNOW THAT IT SAT IN HER PARLOUR FOR AS FAR BACK AS THE 1920'S ACCORDING TO FAMILY MEMORABILIA. ALTHOUGH I HATE TO PART WITH IT, RECOVERING FROM SURGERY AND NOT WORKING HAS FORCED ME TO PART WITH ALOT OF THINGS I CHERISH. THIS VASE IS EXQUISITE IN EVERY WAY. IT STANDS 15" TALL AND 18 1/2"  WIDE AT THE BOTTOM AND 16" AROUND THE TOP. IT IS A FLUID PIECE WITH THREE MAIN SECTIONS VERTICALLY FLOWING TOGETHER INTO THIS GORGEOUS FLOWING PIECE. IT REMINDS ME OF A RIVERS GLASSLIKE WATERS SMOOTHLY MOVING WITH EBB AND FLOW, THE FLUIDITY BEING BREATH TAKING. AS YOU CAN SEE THE TOP SECTION IS A DEEP ROSE COLOR, OF WHICH VALS SAINT LAMBERT IS WELL KNOWN FOR, THAT GENTLY FLOWS INTO CLEAR COLORLESS CRYSTAL, THE  SIMPLICITY OF THE MOVEMENT TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY. IN CERTAIN LIGHTS AND WITH CERTAIN SURROUNDING COLORS, THE VASE THROWS PRISMS OF GREAT BEAUTY.THERE ARE NO FLAWS IN THIS PIECE, NO BUBBLES, NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS. IT HAS BEEN USED MANY A TIME AS A TABLE CENTERPIECE, FILLED WITH LUSCIOUS GLADIOLAS IN SOFT SHADES OF ROSE, THAT LITERALLY TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY, AS THE STALKS ARE MAGNIFIED THROUGH THE CLEAR CRYSTAL AND THE RESULT IS STUNNING. THE BOTTOM OF THE VASE HAS SOME  MINOR TABLE SCUFFS FROM THESE OCCASIONS, BUT FOR ITS YEARS AND USE, THAT IS SO VERY MINOR. THE PIECE IS SIGNED BY ETCHING AND STAMPED WITH STICKER, AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS. I TOOK AS MANY DIFFERENT VIEWS AS I COULD SO YOU COULD GET A TRUE FEEL OF IT'S GRACEFULLNESS, IT'S UNIQUENESS, IT'S SIMPLE BEAUTY.
