This is an early pattern glass decanter that probably originally had a metal slide stopper or cork stopper.   Here it is in the "Ashburton" pattern without a stopper.  This decanter was manufactured by one of the early American glass houses. Very fine early flint glass decanter offered with the opening bid the reserve.DIMENSIONS:  The bottle is 8 5/8" H. (without stopper) x 2 7/8" Dia. at the base.
