Description
If you tried to call me Saturday on the cell at the number originally listed with this offering, please call again usng the corrected cell number in the details below....the cell number I originally posted was that of my wife, not me, and we did not get the details that you wanted regarding this offer This beautiful church pew would make an outstanding gift for someone you love at Christmas. The pew is 52 inches long. The end panels are 36 inches high and are made of quarter sawn oak. The pew sticks out a total of 24 inches when placed up against the wall. As you can see in the pictures, the pew has applied carvings on the end panels and a cathedral arch recessed design on the panels as well. The arms on the end panels are 4 inches wide. There is a numbered brass plate (#17) on one of the end panels. You will see a few age cracks in the seat of the pew where the boards used to make the seat are glued together. This is only cosmetic and does not affect the stability or overall beauty of the pew (I have pictured the seat for you so you can see what I am referring to). This pew would look awesome in almost any room of your home, your office, or anywhere else vintage seating could be used. It is very sturdy and could be used either in placement against a wall or out in an open area as free standing seating. I can offer more than one pew from the same lot to any who are interested or a similar pew in a different length Contact me on my cell (937-935-9829) or home phone (937-592-7864) so we can talk about your interest and how to meet your needs. I offer shipping to you by Pak Mail, you could drive to my home and pick up the pew and save the cost of shipping, or use the delivery service provided by Greyhound Package Express described in the following paragraph in red. Pak Mail has handled the shipping of many pews for me and their service is outstanding...many of my customers who used the services of Pak Mail have commented on the excellent way their pews were packed when they received them. I can get a shipping quote from Pak Mail from 9:00-6:00 Monday through Friday and from 10:00-2:00 on Saturdays. They are closed Sundays. Their fee includes wrapping and crating of the pew, curbside delivery of the pew, using a reputable truck line (usually Roadway), and insurance on the shipment in the amount of the winning bid for the pews. A pew can generally be shipped to most locations in the lower 48 states, using Pak Mail, for a total cost of $275-$350. Contact me with your zip code, city, and state and I will get an exact quote for you. A less convenient, but also less costly method of shipping, is to use Greyhound Express. This method requires me to wrap and prepare the pew for shipment and then transport it to Lima, Ohio, the nearest Greyhound station to my home. Doing so requires a 75 mile round trip and takes about 2 1/2 hours of time. Therefore, I add my labor, time, and fuel cost to the charge made by Greyhound; I can ship the pew to the Greyhound station nearest to your location for a total cost of $220. You would have to arrange to pick it up at the station when it arrives there. I have used Greyhound Express to ship a number of pews and found their method of shipping to be very satisfactory. The pew will be shrink wrapped with the end panels covered by heavy cardboard and padded to protect them from damage in shipping. The pew weighs approximately 90 pounds and will easily fit into the back of a minivan or bed of a pickup truck. Please see the feedback given by many who have purchased pews from me...you will see that they have been well pleased with their purchases! I accept payment by USPS postal money order, bank cashier's check, or personal check. If a personal check is used, I will need to wait for it to clear before the pew can be shipped. Payment should be mailed within three days of the close of the auction or purchase date.
