The mandolin is broken but does have some parts that can be salvaged and may be of interest to someone. The inner label has a patent date of 1898 and the No. is 6684. I do not know a thing about instruments so I will let the photos do most of the talking. The tailpiece is in good condition with some pitting of the nickel? finish. The tuners have an unusual design that looks like flakes of mother of pearl in some areas. Thay are all in good shape except for one that looks a bit chewed up. Possibly attacked by a mouse :) There is a tangle of strings still attached and I do not know if they are original. This is pretty much in as found condition save for the bit of cleaning I attempted.
