It would make an outstanding accent piece anywhere in the home or office – a great little end table for storage of remote devices or an eye-catching accent piece fireside --- just endless possibilities!!   It is getting so hard to find this size stool or bench in the shipments coming in from England these days – I was fortunate this week to snare several small pieces like this, so please check my other listings, and know the only reason I don’t always have these items is because I can rarely find them!!!   The stool or bench is in good condition, structurally sound and visually appealing, with only normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The stool has a dark finish, with a nice aged patina.  It is sturdy and strong with many years of use remaining!! Please note in the photos – the bench appears to have originally been made with the lid hinged on the back and a lock on the front, as the interior has places where the hardware would have been.  Somewhere in its life the lid was changed to slide as it does now (see photos).  Also, the left side of the lid has an old repaired split that I mention here for disclosure, as it doesn’t affect the stability or functionality of this charming piece!!   A reminder to buyers --- antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character.   I always provide multiple photos and written information and I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to bidding.   SHIPPING: Professional packaging, shipping and insurance on this item will be $45.00.
