The  inside of the lid of the custom fitted case is marked "Tuck Chang" "Shanghai" and each piece of the set is marked with the Tuck Chang "TC" hallmark - there is no silver mark but the set has been tested and is solid silver. The handles to the knives and forks have a beautiful fine hammer finish appearance very much in keeping with the Art Nouveau period when this set was made. All of the flatware is in excellent condition with the exception of one dent to one of the knife handles (please see close-up Photo) and the box is still quite functional, but could use a recovering of the exterior.
