Click on the thumbnails to view enlargements Beautifully executed 19th Century grand French marble lyre clock. Unusually large - over 2 1/2 feet tall. The remarkable intricately and finely chased gilt ormalu bronze work includes wreaths, roses, cherubs and of course the surmounting Sun symbol for the famous Sun King French King Louis XIV. The clock face is extravagantly large and grand at 6" accross and the whole clock barrel is over 5.5" deep with a turtle glass back.  The precise French movement has been oiled and cleaned by a Master Clockmaker and works great.
