Description
Antique Lakeside Pump Organ For auction is an antique pump organ, "The Lakeside" which was made in Chicago, Illinois. It was made by Tryber and Sweetland in the late 1800's or early 1900's. The sounding component was manufactured by Wurlitzer. It is made of oak and is in very good condition. The music stand lifts up to open a storage area of sheet music. There are right and left knee keyboard pedals for additional sound adjustment. The organ plays beautifully (with pumping of course) and all the keys and knobs are in working order. The wood is in excellent condition and has no major cracks or flaws. The pull sound adjusters are labeled (original labels!!) from right to left: Bass Coupler, Principal Bass, Baritone, Dulcino, 1 Forte, 2 Forte, Violetta, Viola, Tremona and Treble coupler. The organ is very heavy. Takes two very strong men to move it. I will not ship this item because of its size and weight. The winning bidder will need to make arrangements for pickup. I can keep in storage as long as buyer desires without any additional charge. So if you want this item but will not be passing through Rochester, Minnesota until a later date, then I will gladly hold on to it until you arrive (pre-payment required - storage until pickup free). I purchased the organ a few summers ago at a Duluth, Minnesota antique store for more than $1200. I paid to have it moved to Rochester, Minnesota. I have never used it. It was part of several antique pieces of furniture for our home. We have decided not to change our decor. It is in excellent condition (beautiful wood work and it works!!). It was sold to me by the original family who owned this organ for several generations in the Duluth area. This is a wonderful antique organ which has been obviously well taken care of over the years. It would make an excellent addition to any one's home. I am essentially asking for any "buyer" to be willing to come and pick this organ up or to arrange shipping for this organ. If you have any questions, please email me. Thanks for viewing this auction item.
