Antique Mosaic Work Italian Figural Banquet Cloth Start Price USD 235.99 Current Price USD 235.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, September 24, 2008 End Time Friday, October 24, 2008 Location Silver Spring, Maryland See more about 'Antique Mosaic Work Italian Figural Banquet Cloth' Description  Absolutely gorgeous Italian figural linen banquet cloth featuring charming figural dancing cherubs  The cloth measures 70" x 108" and is in absolute perfect condition.  The linen is quite substantial in weight and the design technique is punch work (which defines/copies stiletto work that was done by hand).  The border is of the same punch work technique featuring scallops which border the entire cloth as well a punchwork of scrolls and flowers, leaves, etc.  This is a beautiful quality cloth in a true light cream color linen.  It has been freshly laundered and ironed, but there is a slight pale storage mark that was on a fold.  With a soak and rewash this will come out; I just do not have the time this week to rewash.  This would look wonderful as a topper for your bed- thats if you like to layer your linen. My expertise is mainly in vintage linens and laces, and has been for the last 25-30  years.  Vintage linens are exactly that and not always in perfect condition, which is normal due to age, etc.   There can be minor mends, etc. which I will point out in my description.  I do not sell linens that are grossly damaged, unless I am selling a cutter lot. All linens are sold in "AS IS" condition because they are vintage and not new textiles. I have a wide range of laces, linens and textiles dating from the mid-19th C. thru the early 1950s.
