Description
A neat antique (circa late 1800's) sewing accessory. I believe this was used for holding sewing thread and or a darning egg. The treen box is in the figural form of an acorn and has a hole on the top. It has a hand carved bottom and the lid is red. The top shows a lot of wear in the form of lines which should be an indication of it's use to someone more knowledgeable than I. Overall dimensions are 3" x 2 1/8". The sewing acorn is in very good overall condition except for the lines as noted. It would make a neat addition to an antique sewing collection and is being offered without a reserve. In the rare event I use a reserve, please note that I will not reveal my reserve during the course of the auction so please do not ask. Thank you. I rarely relist so if you like it make sure you bid. We make every effort to describe our antiques to the best of our ability, including age, quality and condition. Auction Terms; Buyer to pay $5.00 for careful packaging & USPS shipping in US, foreign email. Insurance is optional, we are not responsible for any uninsured items. I ship once a week.
