Description
tuxedozen Store Antique/Vintage STUART DYNAMO GENERATOR & STEAM ENGINE PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION IN THIS LISTING, SEE ALL PHOTOS, AND READ ALL INFORMATION REGARDING MY AUCTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.  THANK YOU!By Stuart Models of England, this vintage/antique steam engine and dynamo generator are heavy duty models, of cast iron and brass, with original red and green paint.  The red engine, mounted on a black base, is incomplete, as the boiler is missing, and other parts may also not be included.  There are two bolts attached to the base, which appear later, so their purpose is not clear.  The piston works smoothly, and other than wear, the engine seems in good condition. The engine and the base are iron, and measure 8" square, the wheel is approximately 5" in diameter, and the height is approximately 7".   The dynamo generator is in a heavy brass housing, with original paint, and seems to be complete.  There are four screw holes for mounting, the bottom is sealed, and there is a rotating loop at the top. The pulley turns, so it appears to be functional.   It is stamped "Stuart" on the housing, and a brass plate is engraved with the following letters and numbers:  RPM3000, V4, A1.  The generator measures 2  3/4" high (the loop on top is roughly 1/2"), the rectangular base measures 3" by 1", and it is approximately 3  5/8" deep (from pulley to ends of screws on opposite side).  Both parts have heavy enamel paint, with some losses to the piston section of the engine, and only very minor wear on the generator.   Stuart Models is still in operation, but these items are clearly much earlier productions, of very heavy metal work and with thick enamel paint.   Please email any questions, and any additional information will gladly be added to the description.  Thank you for your interest!A NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING FOR THIS ITEM:  As it is very heavy (almost 17 pounds before packing), it would be cheaper to ship via USPS ground, but takes longer, requires more handling, which is always a concern, but we are amenable to considering other shipping means (we generally use USPS Priority Mail, for which the shipping costs are designated below).PLEASE NOTE:  Payment is due within 7 days of auction close for domestic buyers, 10 days for international buyers. Most items that we sell are antique, vintage, or collectible, and are therefore subject to wear and usage;  as condition is a subjective assessment, please read descriptions carefully and view all photos.  Any questions regarding condition, age, or whatever, should be emailed prior to bidding.  We do not divulge reserves, nor do we end auctions early.  Please never hesitate to email any questions, and we will answer as promptly as possible.International bidders are welcome, with payment to be made in US funds from US institution, by check or money order,.......NO PAYPAL;  Payment must be received within TEN days of auction close.    All international purchases will be accompanied by an accurate customs form.A note about feedback:  As a seller, I will leave feedback after you have received the item, are satisfied with the transaction, and have left feedback for me.  As this information is important for other buyers and is a record of trustworthy and professional behavior, please be sure to follow through on this final aspect of your purchase.  Thank you.....
