Original Antique Sundial You are bidding on a original antique Sundial, a so called Augsburg dial, in museum-like quality. Origin: German (Augsburg) Date: 1775 Signature: Engraved on the base of compass LTM (Ludwig Theodor Müller) Overall dimensions: Length 5,2 cm width 4,8 cm, thickness 1,7cm Material: brass and glass Latitudes: 12o - 90o N Condition: All in all perfect, except a small chip of the glass. and one srew is a little bit broken Technical details: Standard dial, surrounded by engraved border including acanthus leaves. Latitudes arc divided 12o - 90o. Back of compass engraved with the table of latidudes, headed: Elev Poli, Corfu 39, Lion Napoli 41, Rom Landau 49,Rig(a) Edenburg 55 For further information: You will find a similar dial in the collection of the National Maritime Museum Greenwich London, see homepage of the museum.
