Lyon & Healy' Description ANTIQUE HORN INSTRUMENT I'm not musically inclined, so I don't know what this instrument is. I can only guess that it is a Cornet or Bugle. The brand name is Lyon and Healy. It comes in its original case. The name appears on both the case and the instrument within the etched design. The horn appears to be silverplated. I searched the internet for an instrument just like this but couldn't find one. I found similar ones, and they were dated between the late 1800s to 1920, so I am assuming the age of this one falls within that time period. The horn measures 14" long without the mouthpiece. There is also a U-shaped piece and a long accessory that fits into the underside of the lid. I forgot to take a picture of it. The only flaw I see is that one of the buttons appears to be depressed somewhat, not in a way that requires Prozac but maybe a little oil.
