It is missing a small knob that attaches to the brake release. I have checked the scale's operation, it is in working order. Some of the adjustments are a little stiff and and if the scale is to be used it should be gone over and recalibrated. It also comes with a box that has weights from .001 to 100.0 Grams. The following indicates how widespread was the use of Becker products. "Becker scales and balances have been used by pharmacists, government assay work, and were at one time adopted in all the leading colleges of the United States. They were shipped to every part of the civilized globe, and the company received the highest compliments concerning the accuracy and finish of their scales and balances."
