ENGLISH ART DECO BURL WALNUT 4 PIECE DINING ROOM SET Start Price USD 16,500.00 Current Price USD 16,500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, June 29, 2008 End Time Wednesday, July 09, 2008 Location Atlanta, GA See more about 'ENGLISH ART DECO BURL WALNUT 4 PIECE DINING ROOM SET' Description Art Deco lovers....  Here it is!!!!  My personal dining room set which has been in several movie sets and countless commercials is presented here due to my relocation to a smaller residence.  To begin, it is all original and in extremely beautiful condition - both structurally and finish-wise.  The burl veneer is in breath-taking, excellent conditon - a soft satin golden walnut color with the dark outlines which epitomizes 1930's English art deco craftsmanship.  First, there is the "showstopper".....  a one piece oval table measuring 102" long by 40" wide by 30" high and high-lighted by a 5" lip surrounding the entire beautifully grained surface.  The top rests on two dramatic pedestals, each articulated and graduated in a style reminiscent of pieces from Radio City Music Hall.  This table is rock solid!!!  There are eight (8) matching walnut chairs with rounded backs - two (2) of which are captains chairs....  The fabric is a silk geometric-patterned upholstery that is aged but attractive and usable but would probably need to be re-upholstered in the near future.  Next, we have a small bar-buffet-console-sideboard. It measures 43"long by 33.5" tall by 20.5" deep with shelves on each side, dramatic hardware, and a geometric veneer pattern on the doors.  Finally, we have the streamlined sideboard measuring 70" long by 37" tall by 23" deep with a tiered top measuring 45" long.  This piece also has wonderful graining, inlay design on the doors, and  distinctive hardware.  The "drama" continues with one side being rounded with the glass door of the storage area and the other end having a stepped "squarish" design of the Egyptian deco influence.  This is great cabinetry with excellent storage, high-style design, and in wonderful condition.  All the doors have working locks with their keys.  I have given a lot on decription here but not without good reason.....  These sets have disappeared over the past 25 years and they cannot be easily found in this complete, excellent, and original condition.  The set is being sold as a whole.  Shipping is $500.00 for all pieces.  The pictures do not do this set justice.  If you were to see this set in person you would know what I mean....  I have a desired "Buy-It-Now "price but I will consider reasonable offers.  Thank you in advance for your interest.  Please e-mail lancegkern2@yahoo.com should you have any questions.  We accept PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, cashier's checks, and money orders.
