HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE Chee Foo embroidery. Just look at the amount of expert handwork! This vintage set was entirely hand made in China, by the China Arts Company, and was the most expensive linen they produced, according to a 1959 China Arts catalog that I have. Even more expensive than the finest Madeira at the time. These sets are often misidentified and sold as Madeira or Italian handwork, as the quality of the handwork is remarkable. (Not all Chinese handwork is inferior – Sferra still has their very expensive luxury linens embroidered in China).
