The use of parchment indicates a good provenance , the body is Rosewood , from the mahogany family of tree . Francis Jourdain said about simple form :"... the disappearance of ornament is the proof of the revolution of civilization and notion of beauty ...." I found a picture with similar legs from an early Arbus piece so I can safely said that he influenced the maker of the one I am offering you.
