FRENCH MODERNIST SCONCE GUARICHE MOUILLE French modernist sconce made in the 1950's by Pierre Guariche , I included several pictures of referenced pieces so you can decide for yourself .The base is brass metal tubing connecting to a brass fitting , which has several position and a screw to adjust the spot . The use of colorful metal with small indentation can be found in the in his early work .This model is part of the "diabolo" serie edited by Disderot , Guariche's work is equal to the creation of Serge Mouille , he is considered today as the spearhead of this young generation of decorators emerging at the beginning of 1950s.I purchased it in France so I guaranty that it is an original modernist piece from the 1950's. Size L.32 ( as pictured fully open 34 , each arms 17 ) globe H.7 x D.5 , good antique condition ,there is some scratches from normal use , rewired with American socket , I take credit card and American Express, the transaction will go through my store .I guaranty my Antiques to be original, shipping will be done by truck .
