This lovely Quilt is of the Applique style and the workmanship is simply exceptional.  The vibrant green leaves still retain their color, and the centers contain a pale yellow.  Stitching consists of 8 stitches per inch with double and triple lines, ferns, and wreaths.  The Applique Stitching is an amazing 12 stitches per inch.  Batting is thin throughout, and quilt is simply clean overall.  Appears to be signed with the artist's initials. This is a lovely antique textile, that would be beautiful displayed on a bed, or as a vibrant wall-hanging and certainly a wonderful asset to invest in, as it will not lose its value with your kind care.  Size - 69" x 69" Quilt purchased from private estate sale where home was listed on National Historical Register.
