Description Started with cedar base, marked "x" with pen knife, pen knife where to put hole, for some reason I moved the hole and drilled the hole in another spot for post. Then applied a base coat and two figures appeared. One light and one dark. I felt it was a sign and left to dry until next day to see if it would still be there. It was. Where I marked the wood with my pen knife, turned out to be a cross right in the center of the light coloured figure's back. This was spooky. I proceeded to finish painting the base and felt I was guided, since I wasn't an artist. I proceeded to make the post and paint it. I did it so the souls travelled up and went through the cross and came out as angels. After I painted the cross, I dabbed with red paint where the head, feet and hands would be and a bloody figure holding a bloody cross outwards in his fist appeared where the head would have been of Christ. Where the feet are, a red horse with a red rider appeared. This all took about 2 months for me to complete, the whole time I felt I was being guided. I have showed this to people, some have cried, some have converted, and some won't even come in my garage. The figure in the cross, where Christ's head would have been, to me, is the Anti-Christ trapped in the blood of the cross and admitting that there is only one way and that is through the blood of Christ. At the base where the hole is, is pergatory. At the top I put a crown of thorns and I ended up calling this work of art "Battle for Souls." On the base to me, is the Christ and the Anti-Christ battling for souls. The lion, which is in the foreground on the base signifies a witness to the battle for souls.
