The Sayagaki by Kanzan Sato dates the sword to Kanei (1624-1644) period.The blade is accompanied by its Tokubetsu Kicho Token Kanteisho,dated 1967.Data:Nagasa = 72,4 cm (28 1/2 Inch)Sori = 1,3 cmSakihaba = 1,95 cmMotohaba = 3,0 cmNakago nagasa = 17,5 cmFeatures: The jihada is a finely forged dense itame-mokume hada. Horikawa hada is expected to be a little rough zanguri hada, but there is only one small area, which may be called *less fine* rather than rough. You can see it at the katana omote just a thumb down from the yokote.The nioiguchi is vivid and very broad with evenly distributed nie. There are tobiyaki in the ji.The o-midare hamon almost reaches the shinogi in places.You will find a good amount of very fine kinsuji within the hamon.Carefully examining the nakago and checking their measurements, I think it is ubu and the lower mekugi ana was added not much later.This katana shows very well the distinct style of the matured Kunimichi: perfect hada, perfect distributed nie and incredible fine kinsuji.International shipping needs to pay actual cost.
