Howard pocket watch in very nice condition. It is triple signed and estimated at just under 100 years old. The genuine antique beveled "glass" lens is in good condition with no chips, cracks or visible scratches. The porcelain face of the watch looks great although under close inspection does have a few micro hairlines. The high quality Gold filled watch case is marked E. Howard Watch Co. and looks just beautiful with no dings, dents or brassing and all surfaces shine like mirrors. Both hinges and the bow are tight and the covers do not open past 90 degrees. All 3 covers align properly when closed and snap in place tightly. The high precision 17 jewel movement  is adjusted to temperature and 3 positions, looks very clean and ornate. It runs smooth, strong and begins to run just by winding it. This movement is stem wound and set. Although this watch has "not" been recently serviced that I know of, and my testing has shown that it ran for more than 42 hours on a single full winding. It was a few minutes slow after a full run and needs to be sped up a little to be completely accurate. It looks like some sort of special tool is required to adjust the running speed. The winding and time setting functions on this watch perform properly. The measurements are a little under 1-7/8 inches across by 2-3/8 inches from top to bottom including the winder and bow and is 3/8 of an inch thick. It is marked on the movement is marked as E. Howard Watch Co., Boston U.S.A - 17 Jewels - Adjusted  3 positions and temperature - Patented 1912 and the movement number is 1272243.
