LARGE Japanese Fishing Float in Excellent condition Start Price USD 0.99 Current Price USD 100.00 Time Left - Bid Count 7 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, October 04, 2008 End Time Saturday, October 11, 2008 Location Tarpon Springs, FL See more about 'LARGE Japanese Fishing Float in Excellent condition' Description poogycat store This float is one of 13 that I brought back from my tour of duty in the Pacific Ocean.   It is quite large, measuring 40inches in circumference and it weighs in at a heafty 10 pounds.   The color is a very cool, sea green and the knotting is EXTREEMLY tight.   What makes this unique is that both "pigtails" are still attached.  This happens because as the waves roll and jump it makes the float roll a lot and toss about.   Eventually the ropes twist off and the float ends up at the whims of the sea current.   You will see small bubbles in the glass but that is what one would expect from hand blown glass, which this is.   The blower's mark is marked quite plainly, as you can see in the pic, and it sets on the outside. This float is in PERFECT condition with no leaks.  Any tiny water marks sometimes seen are due to inside condensation and not leaks.
