  LOUISIANA PURCHASE Treaty Complete Text 1803 Newspapers     Here is a complete, genuine historic newspaper with the following title, date and description: THE BALANCE, AND COLUMBIAN REPOSITORY, Hudson, New York, Nov. 1 & Nov. 8, 1803   * Pair of newspapers containing the complete text of the Louisiana Purchase * Historic items Inside and near the end of the November 1 issue is: "Louisiana Treaty" which says that the Senate ratified the treaty with "24 votes in the affirmative and 7 in the negative." This is followed by the: * Treaty Between The United States Of America And The French Republic being the text of the treaty in which France ceded Louisiana to the United States. It is signed in type: Barbe Marbois, Rob. R. Livingston & Jas. Monroe. The first of two conventions accompanying the treaty follows. The issue dated November 8 has the text of the second "Convention" agreed upon by United States and France relative to the treaty. Both are quarto-size with 8 pages, each having an area of foxing in the last column of the ftpg., otherwise both are in nice condition.
