This set has never been used and STILL has the ORIGINAL Labels. The tablecloth is still in the sealed plastic, so it's in MINT condition. Original Label states - Fine Imported Damask, Imperial, Hand Hemmed, Mercerized Yarns used Exclusively, Easy to Launder, Cotton 51% Rayon 49% RN 15320 Made in Japan. Japan produced some very beautiful linens of very high quality in the 40’s & 50’s, mostly with these silky, shiny, highly defined damask patterns that beautifully catch the light! These are much easier to care for than pure linen, they set a beautiful table and they launder like a dream. The cloth is weighty with an elegant drape ~ this set was not cheap when originally purchased.
