Description
Lost World Artifacts Large Moche Figural Vessel/Jar Click on these numbers for large pictures: 1-2-3-4-5-6 A Large Moche Figural Vessel - Ca. 600 - 700 A.D. This choice example stands 10-3/4" tall and depicts an individual with a bulbous body covered in Huari influenced symbols. (The flying eye symbol). The face is very expressive, with ritual tattoos, including small lizards on the upper lip. In outstanding condition, with strong paint and mineral deposits. The Moche culture is especially known for its ceramics, considered the most artistically sensitive and technically developed of any in Peru. These pieces of ancient art are some of the best ever produced in the ancient world. The Moche pieces are some of my personal favorites.   Will come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that will include picture, description and age. Can be returned for full refund with proof that authenticity is incorrect. (All of our artifacts carry a lifetime guarantee to the original purchaser).
