Description
Presented for auction:Le Nepveu French Gilt Statue Clock 1700s  These Photos Were Taken of the Actual Item Just before Listing. More photos below!    Details: Le Nepveu a Paris, French statue clock circa 1760s-1780sThis finely preserved clock is in very good condition and working. The gilt finish has a beautiful patina and still has a great lustre. It measures 21 1/4" tall, 15 3/4" x 5" at the base. The face is 6 1/4". There have been no repairs and there are no major damages. There are chains missing around the bases of the statues and a few small chips to the fine Italian marble. Movement is smooth and the alarm strikes as it should. The pendelum stops after about a half hour so some adjustment may be required. The pendulum swings on a silk thread. I believe the statues are Zeus and Hera. This clock is a true work of art.  Unique in its time and extremely rare in ours.Shipping discounts always offered on multiple wins!   Click for larger pictures **Please click here to see more items I have listed on eBay**     Auction Policies Please read these sales terms carefully before bidding! 1.
