We charge 6.5% sales tax for all Colorado deliveries. Payment: USA winners: we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, personal checks and money orders (checks and MO only from US banks in US funds). No surcharge for credit cards. Please allow 7 days for personal checks and money orders to clear. Foreign winners (outside USA): we accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, but due to a recent spate of fraudulent credit card transactions only BANK WIRE TRANSFERS ARE ACCEPTED FOR TOTALS OVER $500 unless you are a customer long known to us. Checks drawn on foreign banks or in foreign funds are not accepted. We send our invoice after receiving notification from Ebay that you have won the lot. We charge 6.5% sales tax for all Colorado deliveries. Shipping Costs: Unless otherwise stated above, shipping for atlas (es), books, maps, topographic views or other engravings/etchings is a flat rate of $4 in the US. Foreign book/map orders cost $14 to ship (usually registered) insured airmail, so please take this into consideration before bidding. We are happy to ship internationally -- half of our business is outside the US. Cartographic and other single-sheet pictures are rolled into very heavy cardboard tubes to protect them. These cost us more to ship but protect your items! All shipments are insured. We will combine multiple items won on the same day by the same seller as much as possible to save you money. Oversize items such as very large books, maps in frames or otherwise shipped flat, collections, etc. may cost more to ship. Shipping Times: Now that eBay asks bidders to rate sellers' shipping-time, we feel compelled to point out that this judgement is supposed to be based on the time it takes us to ship the item -- not how long it takes to receive it. Please look at the postmark when the package arrives. We generally ship within two days of cleared payment, and often within 24 hours. However, most of our business is in Europe -- and we can do nothing if a foreign customs agency holds a package for a month or if the USPS takes three weeks to get a package out of the country (yes, both of these things have happened more than once). We are professional, full-time dealers in business for many years, and we treat your lots with care and consideration in a timely manner. Also, the shipping fees we charge are less than our actual costs! We're just trying to recover part of the shipping fees and insurance, so please rate us accordingly. International Bidders and Customs: International bidders are responsible for paying whatever customs duties or taxes are due in their country. We are required to put the actual value of the items won on each package. The delays and/or duties caused by this are completely out of our control and sphere of responsibility. Guarantee: All items are absolutely guaranteed genuine as described. We do not sell reproductions so if the item is stated antique it is guaranteed an original antique from the period listed. Any book, map, or view returned by a competent authority as not genuine (this has never happened) may be returned within 3 months of receipt and we will immediately refund the cost of the item and our shipping fees, but we will not be responsible for any cost of expertization. We are a Colorado corporation (dba Gothic Stamps, Inc) and have been dealing in philatelic, bibliographic, cartographic, and numismatic items since 1992.
