The beautiful pattern of the rosewood compliments the simplicity of the design which is fully finished in the round allowing  complete viewing from any perspective. This desk features a writing surface accompanied by two drawers and four cubbies. The drawers are also made from solid rosewood inside and out. The body itself is composed of rosewood veneer over hardwood with solid rosewood on radiused areas along front and back edges. The legs are of solid roswood which are removable for condensed  shipping.         The finish is in overall very good shape. Wear is slight with subtle sign of dryness with a natural bleaching having taken effect due to light exposure through the decades which is only apparent when the lid is dropped down for use. Also, there are two minor marks in the wood. One ding is on the top along the outer edge and is about 3/4" x3/8". The other is a tiny gouge about 1/2" curved. Both are` shown in the last two photos and are barely noticible.
