Description
German, signed, "Bavaria", circa 1917, Kinematograph 28mm projector, 17" high, 13" x 7" base, tin construction, original electric bulp and wiring, wood handle. In fine condition noting some spotting to the tin and the missing wire for the top reel, this projector lights right up and the maltese cross movement works as smooth as new. These early movie projectors are becoming quite rare. Bing, of Neumberg, Germany made this device for home projection, which was very popular. The War tended to ruin these small enterprises and production on this type of mechanical viewer ended. Now, if you could practise turning the crank two revolutuins per second, you were able to get a very life like image! A nice display projector of early vintage. Buyer pays $16 shipping anywhere in the USA, Paypal.
