RARE LG HORSE, BACTIAN RACE LACQUERED WOOD, CLOISONNE'  WINNER PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL INVOICE IS SENT, WHICH IS USUALLY 8 HOURS OR LESS. THANK YOU.  View My Other Items For Sale    View My Feedback Item Description: You have come across what I've been told & certainly believe to be a very rare, antique, large Chinese cloisonne' horse, which is heavy lacquered over wood with tack made of cloisonne' .  In fact I have not been able to find ANYONE (and I have contacted quite a few Asian dealers & appraisers & even a conservator from the Phoenix Art museum & cloisoine' expert from Paris), none of them has a ever seen a piece that is combined with lacquered wood and cloisonné enamels like this.  Was also told that the horse merits being called of the Bactian race, or the "heavenly horses" type, very popular during the 80th century Tang Dynasty.  EXTREMELY UNUSUAL & BEAUTIFUL.  For it's age it is in remarkable condition.  It appears the very tip of one of the ears is gone.  Also, on the back right leg, there is a place where the item was put together that some of the lacquer is gone.  IT WAS NOT BROKEN.  I'm fairly certain that the right person could restore it quite nicely but I do not know.  If anyone has any information on this at all, that I have not been able to find out, I would be so grateful to hear it.  AS I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE THIS WITH, I AM OPEN FOR REASONABLE OFFERS.  DUE TO THE SIZE, WEIGHT CARE TAKEN IN PACKING & RARITY OF THIS ITEM THE SHIPPING IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE. Manufacturer/markings: none  Age:   Tang Dynasty  June 18, 618–June 4, 907, definitely not sure on this at all but also could be very late 1800's - early 20th century Size: 22"h from floor to top of ears & 22" l from tip of tail to end of muzzle Color:  black lacquer with the Cloisonne tack (saddle, etc). Condition:  see description above.   Shipping on this item is only a guess, will not know for sure until I actually get it ready to ship  View My Feedback       View My Other Items For Sale       Please remember that I am only human!
