This is one of those special weavings we kept for many years in the hopes that we would eventually have the time to restore it. The "so many weavings, so little time" has now become reality and we have to part with this beautiful weaving. This is a project piece that will be outstanding with a bit of restoration. The weaving is completely hand spun with single ply weft and warp. Colors are indicative of late 30s, early 40s with some unusual aniline hand-dyed colors of purple, pink, maroon light green and khaki-gold. With a bit of TLC, this piece will be the beauty it once was and deserves to be again. SIZE: 44" wide tapering to 41" wide 59" long WEIGHT: 4 3/4lbs CONDITION: As you can see from the images there are some stains of unknown origin, some damage and the "orange halo" of color bleeding in some areas. We notify buyer by e-Mail the day we ship.Shipping outside the U.S. is a bit new for us, but it seems to be working OK. If you do not need insurance, airmail letter rate is the cheapest, but if you require insurance, the US Post Office will not ship the cheapest way, but makes us use Air Parcel, which is double the cost of the cheap Air Letter postage rate. We wrap well, so breakage isn't a problem, as long as it doesn't get lost. In that case, once it has left out Post Office uninsured, we can not track it or be responsible for lost items.
