The totem is a model of what is known as the Good Luck totem and features an Eagle with a salmon, Bear and a shaman at the base. This is a fairly early example by the carver circa 1920 as evidenced by the hollowed out back. The totem stands an impressive 24" tall on a 5" by 5" square base and is marked Alaska on the base top. The totem has a nice dark aged patina with the only damage noted is a old repair to the Eagle's head (please see photos) otherwise just normal patina from age and handling. Inscription on the bottom is the words"Don't Sell" as the totem was from an old curio store in Alaska. The totem is a good early classic example by the artist and is being sold without reserve so don't miss your chance.
